My freestar 2006 car radio does not work on fm

is it a new cd/radio ? the wiring is the same for a radio with or with out a cd player , the cd should work once the radio is connected , the other port you mention may be relevent as the original radio was a factory installed , these are usually designed to be useless to be used in other vehicles as a theft deterrent , i would remove the new radio and have a good search in the radio space as there may well be the second connector you require , be very carefull as there are many sharp edges and the apeture is not very large , the second connector , if there, will most likely be taped to another loom so as to keep it away from touching other parts so a good torch and have a search , keep me posted if you wish

Junk Radio. Find a new one or used one. No fix that is simple.

Hi have you tried cleaning all the contacts on the door, sometimes this can be a problem for door not operating properly.

Sounds to me as though the alternater is not charging. Eventually , it will stop running too!

Does engine turn over?if it doesn't,it might be a bad starter.

i would get the alternator checked, sounds like its leaking ac current which can also kill the battery

yes you will just have a low tire pressure warning on the dashboard

am and fm? if so u may just have a stuck button

I had the same problem. I disconnected the car battery and reconnected it. The clock and everything will have to be reset after doing this.

Check the (ground when running) wire on the bypass modual it is probibly shorted to ground, therefore giving your car 2 transponder codes when you try to start with the key vs 1 when you use the remote start
