Cold air is trying to get into the vehicle cab, we can feel it when placing hand over a vent - but the fan/blower to push the air is no longer working. Unsure how to go about trying to fix this but would like to try to take care of it myself.
The diagram is for v6. The top wire at blower motor is voltage, the bottom wire is ground. Use a test light and check both voltage and ground. Key on--hvac on. If you have good voltage and ground with no blower action, suspect the blower motor. The blower motor is usually under the passenger side dash.
Check your owners manual or go online for manual there will be a fuse box location. in the cover is a legend to describe each fuse. Use a multi meter to check for power, there is a resistor bank located in blower housing remove and inspect. Isolate motor leads and check for continuity.
