#2 position is low beams & highbeams when the directional wand is held forward towards the driver & goes off when released #3position has no low beams any more &only high beams when the directional wand engages the switchwhat is wrong
Without testing we have no idea . Viewing wiring diagrams to see what all is involved in the lighting circuits would be the first place to start . A 2007 vehicle probably has some type electronic control module involved ,which mean's that DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes could be stored . Looking at a wiring diagram for your vehicle i see two modules involved - BCM - body control module & Integrated power module . Don't know if your vehicle is involved in the recall ,but chrysler , dodge & jeep have bad TIPM - totally integrated power module . Can cause headlamp , turn signal an other electrical problems . Call the dealer
You only have one fuse box under hood. I believe the switch is working correctly because our 2006 acts in a similar way
SOURCE: No high beams on 1999 Dodge Caravan; low beams work fine
replace the switch in the column i had the same problem on a 1996 caravan when i replaced the switch the problem stopped
SOURCE: 1999 Chevy Cavalier high beam dash light always on
had same problem with wifes 01 cav.....after spending $400 from the dealer for there so called diagnostic....replacing the modulator under the steering column stilll she had no lights....turns out the wiring harness has corroded away somewhenre down the line and cost me $100 for an electrician to reconnnect and secure it with wire insulation and all is well...check for battery acid corrosion supposedly they know of problem but has never been recallled
SOURCE: high beams dont work
Could be that your high beam light's are burnt out and need to be replaced. When you say the the switch is new you mean the lever on the stearing collum is new right?? Good luck

disconnect the module that is mounted in front of the fuse box .Then carefully clean the the connectors ,they are usually pretty dirty. After they are clean put it back 2gether.If it doesnt solve the prob then u might have to stick some washers on your bottom screws so that your module is angled in.This will ensure a solid connection.
