Searching about this for my son in law and found that in some countries they are replacing the relays with a vented type as the originals are condensing up in bad weather and causing this problem

If that is the problem, then the engine is in serious need of weather-proofing. Is the 'check engine' light lit? If so, have the problem code(s) read out with a scanner. That will give you the clues needed to find your problem.

I have a 2005 mitsubishi outlander. It wont start after I ran out of gas. I bought a new battery but the car still wont start

It's still out of gas until the lines are purged of air. The fuel pump has to run awhile to build up pressure. Keep cranking. If you can take the small gauge wire off the starter easily, all you have to do is turn the key to the start position and hold it there for a while. Listen for the fuel pump. When it slows down or stops then reconnect the wire and it should start.

2004 Mitsubishi Outlaner will not start after getting gas. has happened 4 times in last 5 months.

After getting gas, you mean after refueling? but will start after sitting for a while? I would be checking the Injector leak down/fuel pressure regulator OR catlic converter.

The outlander has no fuel filter and its a part of the fuel pump. When do I need to replace the fuel pump on my 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander?

Fuel pumps are not a regular maintenance item that needs to be changed at a certain time. Replace it only when it fails. The designers built that fuel filter into the tank with the reasoning that it will last as long as the fuel pump itself.

I have a 2004 outlander SUV Mitshuisi. I ran out of gas 5 feet from the gas pump so I coasted in to the pump put gas in now it will not start. Do you know what the problem is ?

probably needs to be primed. Sometimes it takes a few minutes for fuel pump to get fuel up to injectors. That or fuel filter is clogged, when you run the tank almost dry any sediment and dirt gets sucked into fuel pump.

2003 mitsubishi outlander died at stop light. wont start. turns over and has a full tank of gas. is getting fuel to engine.

very poss it could be crank sensor ,broken wire ? timing belt? advise installing scan tool that reads live data check eng rpm on scan tool see if shows eng rpm while cranking , poss remove upper timing belt cover make sure is turning and not damaged, poss computer related problem or power to eng systems would have to check for power at fuel injs and check for ground pulse with logic probe or led test light if crank sensor ok also check for spark at plugs with special plug tester and check codes first
