Is the transmission screen hard to replace on these Transmissions ? I know the seals needs replacing . Should the gaskets be replaced ? Tell me all you can . Thank You

you have to take the transmission pan off of your transmission to corretly change the fluid and the filter you should take it to your local shop and have done the average price for this is around 125

jack car up remove tire and put jackstand under car on driver side and put something behind the rear wheels so the van don't roll you will also need a good 4x4 log that is cut so it will fit between were the hood lay on each side and drill a hole and take a small piece of chain and a good bolt and this will hole you engine up while you are taking the axle out and the bolts to the transmission for you to replace the seal i hope i have been some help to you also try this website to see if the have you van listed www.autozone.com if they do you be able to get pictures and diagram showing you how to repiar your van wish you the best of luck Michigan man

The pan is on the bottom of the transmission and once you take it off the filter unit is easily accessible . There are some good videos on YouTube for a visual understanding of the process . If the fluid is red and not brown and burnt smelling you may not have to replace it . Peace of mind is the reason most people do replace it .
someone told me the transmission has to be taken apart, is that correct or do I just drop the pan to get to it ?
