Honda Accord - IVTEC - 2007

Hi,I owned Accord 2007-IVTEC model & its Malaysia specs.
Sometime back I had problem with my idle whereabout they found its related to mounting that could cause such problem.
However that doesnt seem to solve after the mounting sets was replaced.
Its really funny/embarrassing for Honda product two year with such a symptoms.
Can you assist me what could be wrong.
Currently,
1. Honda have advice/change the mounting
2. Adjustment my idle to 8K rpm from out of company setting.
Was this right solutions & the entire Honda product are being defeated for the past few years since they focused on quantity rather than quality.
Pls advice.
If you have direct email address how we can deal with this or chat id pls pass me then we can work interactively on this case.
Nowdays, I lost hope on Honda and now I know why Toyota still favourable
.
Thanks

    Hello bobbfoot,
Thank you for yr feedback. I didnt turn on much to this forum since I when to Honda seeking advice and moving forward.

However, Honda did too many good stuff which I very confused now.

    1. The Honda Expert - change Throttle Switch set - Complete Set - still doesnt solve
    2. The Honda Expert - change ECU - reprogramme them back - still doesnt solve
    3. The Honda Expert - clean the throttle/idle valve - still doesnt solve
    3. The Honda Expert - adjust the valve clearance - still doesnt solve

Eventhought I insist not to do any change of parts they refuse and advice if we dont it we cant fix the problem.
I bet them it wont help and the end result same - it wasnt solve the issue.

Meanwhile when I recall - I do remember the problem surface after the steering rack was replaced.
They said this is standard replacement for this models - 2007 Accord.

Now, my concern is this - the idle drop to 500rpm is not happen always but intermittent. So now, I very blurr to say anything.....

But when I look at yr review - you recommendation is on the ignition wire or spark plug - what is reason behind on this - can you explain on...

Also, can I have email ID I can send you the video clips on this problem.

    Hope to hear from you.

    Thanks

If you mean engine mounts that is the stupidest thing I have heard of.,
Check ignition wire, plugs first. You can pull one wire at a time off the plugs and see if the idle changes. If it does not, then you know that it iis that cylinderr and could be either ignition wire, spark plug or fuel injector.
If you try this and find one that does not change when removing the spark plug wire I would first change the ignition wire, then the plug and finally the injector. The first two are cheap.
When doing this wear a rubber glove and remove and replace the wires one at a time.
Hope this helps.

What are the valve lash specs for 2007 Honda Accord V6?

There is a specific procedure for setting valve clearance . I highly recommend getting a repair manual for the correct specs & procedure. The engine must be at TDC with the #1 cylinder on the compression stroke , that will allow you to adjust ONLY certain valves , then you have to turn the engine one turn to TDC again only now #1 will be on the exhaust stroke & the rest of the valves can be adjusted . it's important that you know the difference between the two !

What recalls on a 2009 honda accord?

Recall Date:
NOV 18, 2009
Model Affected:
2009 Honda Accord
Summary:
HONDA IS RECALLING AFTERMARKET FULL NOSE MASKS, PART NUMBER 08P35-TA0-100 AND 08P35-TA6-100 MANUFACTURED BETWEEN AUGUST 9, 2007 THROUGH DECEMBER 11, 2007. THE ACCESSORY WAS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR MODEL YEAR 2008-2010 HONDA ACCORD 4-DOOR VEHICLES. IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THE NOSE MASK MATERIAL TO INTERFERE WITH PART OF THE HOOD LATCH. IF THE HOOD HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETELY CLOSED AND THE NOSE MASK INTERFERES WITH THE SECONDARY HOOD LATCH MECHANISM THE HOOD MAY POP OPEN WHILE THE VEHICLE BEING DRIVEN.
Consequences:
THIS MAY RESULT IN REDUCED DRIVER VISIBILITY THAT COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy:
HONDA IS ASKING OWNERS TO PLEASE REMOVE THE NOSE MASK IMMEDIATELY AND CALL ANY AUTHORIZED HONDA DEALER TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO RETURN THE NOSE MASK AND HAVE IT REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 2009. OWNERS MAY CONTACT HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 1-800-999-1009.

Recall Date:
AUG 04, 2011
Model Affected:
2009 Honda Accord
Summary:
HONDA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2005-2010 ACCORD, 2007-2010 CR-V, AND 2005-2008 ELEMENT PASSENGER CARS MANUFACTURED FROM JULY 1, 2004, THROUGH SEPTEMBER 3, 2010. THE OUTER RACE OF THE SECONDARY SHAFT BEARING MAY BE BROKEN DURING CERTAIN DRIVING STYLES. A BROKEN OUTER RACE MAY CAUSE ABNORMAL NOISE, THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT TO TURN ON, AND ALLOW CONTACT BETWEEN THE TRANSMISSION IDLE GEAR AND AN ELECTRONIC SENSOR HOUSING WITHIN THE TRANSMISSION.
Consequences:
THIS COULD RESULT IN A SHORT CIRCUIT CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL. ADDITIONALLY, BROKEN PIECES OF THE OUTER RACE OR BALL BEARING FROM THE SECONDARY SHAFT MAY BECOME LODGED IN THE PARKING PAWL RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE ROLLING AFTER THE DRIVER HAS PLACED THE GEAR SELECTOR IN THE PARK POSITION. ENGINE STALL AND UNEXPECTED VEHICLE MOVEMENT INCREASES THE RISK OF A CRASH OR PERSONAL INJURY TO PERSONS WITHIN THE PATH OF A ROLLING VEHICLE
