I have looked everywhere in the engine compartment on my 1990 Mercedes 190E 2.6. Where is the fuel pump relay on a 1990 mercedes190e 2.6? It's not behind the battery or anywhere near it, and it's not near the fusebox on the other side of the engine compartment.

been checking everything. The relay isn't in the battery area. All I need is to find the relay . Where could it be?

Can't find the fuel pump relay on my 1990 190E Mercedes. Every thing I see says it is in the engine compartment behind the battery. Not so on my 190E. Where else could the fuel pump relay be?

Relay should be behind fuses under a screwed down cover. My question to you is why would you think the relay is bad? Check voltage at the pump as someone turns the car to on. At this age it's most likely a dead or dying pump. Other things to consider are OVP relay (behind the battery) , coil dead, general tune up ie plugs, wires, cap and rotor.

1987 mercedes 190e 2.6 not getting fuel good spark

this is a old one ,havent seen one of these car for a while ,our version of this for the same year had carbs ,if injection then i would expect to find the relay in the power distribution box under the bonnet ,cant remember exactly but i seem to think this year the fuel pump would be under the back of the car bolted to the chassis .

How do you test fuel pump relay on 88 mercedes 190e

The fuel pump relay is behind the battery. remove it and bridge pin #30 (should be under power) and #87 (that goes to the fuel pump).
If the fuel pump kicks in you know the relay is bad

Ran out of gas put in 4 gallons now wont start where is the carb on the 85 19oe gas? can i spray starter fluid somewhere to make it kick?

190e doesnt have a carb. BENZ e models are equipped with fuel injection and an on board computer. your problem is probably the fuel governor or the fuel accumulator.the former is bolted, either an ordinary screw or torx screw, beside the fuel distributor, while the latter is placed under the car's flooring clamped together with the fuel filter and pump.

93 190e with 2.3 fuel pump noisy and when car runs a couple of minuits the pump quits and so does the car also is there more than one pump on this cat

Should have 2 fuel pumps but if the pumps are shutting off it sounds like the fuel pump relay. Go to benzworld.org for many solutions to MB issues.

88 190E has been sitting for over a year, wont start. Have cleaned out the fuel, still wont start. An amituir mechanic said it needed a fuel pump and or a fuel relay. (Very costly) Any advice? The car ran...

what is the fuel pressure reading, bet it's zero. replace the fuel pump and the fuel filter. when fuel gets old it gums up the pump and it won't spin and produce pressure, very common complaint on stored cars, i.e. no fuel pressure.

Thats not very costly the relay is cheap. The tune up you probably need is what will be costly. Coil, Cap, Rotor, Wires and plugs also maybe the OVP relay. Can you hear the fuel pumps when you try and start it? It doesnt have to turn over they should come on for a few seconds when the ignition is in the on position.

Mercedes benz 1992 190E

Lift the hood. Just below the screen, opposite side from battery, you'll see a plastic cover shielding the engine management, abs control box etc. If you search around there after removing the shield/ cover you will find a relay with a fuse plugged into the top of it. This is the pump / system relay.
