DTC P0446 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vent System Performance
The vehicle control module (VCM) monitors the performance of the evaporative
emission (EVAP) system by applying a predetermined level of vacuum to the
EVAP system and monitors the vacuum decay rate. The VCM sets this diagnostic
trouble code (DTC) if the vacuum decay rate is more than a predetermined
value. The VCM monitors the amount of vacuum and the amount of pressure
in the EVAP system by monitoring the fuel tank pressure sensor. For
this DTC, the VCM turns ON both the EVAP purge valve and the EVAP vent
valve when the Conditions for Running the DTC are met. This applies
an engine vacuum to a closed EVAP system. The VCM turns OFF both the
EVAP purge valve and the EVAP vent valve when the system reaches a correct
amount of vacuum. The EVAP system should quickly RELEASE the vacuum
in the EVAP system with the EVAP purge valve OFF and the EVAP vent valve
OFF (open). This test indicates a blocked or restricted EVAP vent path
if the EVAP system fails to release the vacuum quickly enough.

The egr valve is located at the end of a hose that plugs into youe valve cover. It is pushed right into a rubber grommet that is located in one of the valve covers. I hope this helps. don.t forget to rate my nswer, thanks

Well come to the GM World. The filler tube to the gas tank is small and i find it to be the same on my Jimmy and my wife's Montana.
When filling, try starting off slow. Then gradually pull on the trigger more, as you fill the tank with gas. The fluid going in back's up with the air coming out. When you start off slow then pull on the trigger more you give the gas going in and air coming out time to create a path through that they can don't really interfere much with one another.
After a while you'll find a certain way (eather tilted to the left or right) to place the Gas pump nozzle in the filler tube to keep it from cutting off on you.
Good luck and hope this helps. If there is anything wrong with the EVAP. Charcoal canister, vacuum tubes or valve, your Service Engine light would go on. The ECM monitors all of that and would save a DTC in the ECM's memory to be retrieved by a technition's scanner.

First....buy a drivers side air flow actuator at a auto parts place for dual zone heating/cooling.
(NAPA etc will have it.....or the dealer)
Open the glove compartment.....all the way....you may have to take the screws out at the bottom......look in at the heater assembly....look over to the left....you will see the two air flow actuators.
Look at the part you have and match it to the part on the heater assembly.
The actuator that is closest to the engine is the drivers side control.
Replace it.
Try your controls and check for heat and cooling on both sides.
The stepper motor in these actuators goes bad on quite a few...but over look that.....you have a great car,good for many miles of trouble free driving.

You are right. You need the vent valve not the purge valve. The vent valve is a dealer item. Also this is a common problem and GM has released a bulletin on this that involves moving the location of the valve and running some new lines. It comes as a kit from GM, and it costs about a 100 bucks.
