Driver seat back will recline but it won't come back up

hello dschlig, most common for these seats are the motors. I would recommend raising the seat as high as possible. While trying to activate the seat in the forward/back positions, see if you hear or feel a clicking in the motor under the seat. The motor can be recognized closest to the carpet, and has 2 rods going to each seat track. If the motor clicks, inspect the connector and make sure nothing dislodged it. If it is ok, you can use a small hammer and an extension and lightly tap the motor to see if it will maybe release. If you know how to use a volt-meter, you can also check for power to the motor connector when sliding the switch in either direction. The motor can be replaced seperately.

The only way to solve this issue is to extract the seat and inspect. The front and back movement is different from the other actions that the seat may be able to do...
Look for damaged, dirty and miss aligned track components.

My 2006 honda accord drivers seat makes a clicking and grinding noise when i try to put it in the recline position.It will go back about halfway and stop and make this noise, does anyone have a suggestion?
