Need to know the transmission type --manual or automatic
for manual most recommend a light weight mineral oil but experience shows 80-90 gear oil the best
for auto
stick with the recommended atf for your model and it it is a CV transmission --only the recommended oil as atf will damage the box

there is no dipstick, this is a sealed transmission, GM did this to stop owners from overfilling the trans, the fluid level must be checked by the dealer with a scan tool.

There should be a fill cap locate drivers side down on top the drive axle. Check your book or call auto parts store for capicity

You have what is called a closed cased transmission. You have to crawl underneathe to get to the tranny and remove the upper bolt close to the side of the case (more towards the bottom of the transmission). When you fill it, you fill it till it starts to drip out of that hole.
