SOURCE: oil leak problem with 1996 toyota camry

I am going to see a mechanic - my trusted mechanic who does not nickel and dime me - to see what this is. I have the same problem and he told me he has never done this job on a Camry and is unsure. Given the miles, he has suggested that maybe it is time to part ways with the car. I am going to ask him if he will put some florescent dye in it and let me drive it for 50-100 mi and then check to see where the leak is and fix it. Let you know what happens. I have to try, the car is solid.

SOURCE: 95 toyota camry died and turns over but wont crank

same thing happened to my sons' Aries. we replaced timing belt and everything worked great> to confirm broken timing belt, remove valve cover >crank engine over and watch valve train, no movement= broken belt. you can check tech manual but as previously stated if this is not an interferance engine, cranking engine won't run a piston into an open valve. good luck.

SOURCE: 2003 toyota camry won't start. Had battery tested,

Could be the starter motor, bad battery connection, starter motor solenoid, faulty ignition switch, siezed up engine.
Turn the head lights on and try to crank the engine, if you hear a click and the lights dim, it is a bad battery or a loose battery lead. If you hear a click and lights don't dim, bad starter. If you don't hear a click, it is the starter solenoid. If nothing at all, bad ignition switch.

SOURCE: 1992 Toyota Camry won't crank

Check the ground cable going from the battery to
alternator, then to chassis. Make sure there is no
rust at the chassis ground wire terminal, and that it
is very tight. The fusible link will be off the alternator
red power cable, usually, but not 100% on that car.
Good luck.

Start a Camry after it ran completely out of gas. Does the fuel pump fill the line when tank is filled & key turned?

Your fuel pump is located inside the gas tank and every time you turn on the ignition switch the fuel pump will start and pressurize the fuel line for a regular starting cycle. But, since your fuel lines are totally empty. I would turn on the ignition for a 20 second period. then turn it off for a few minutes to let the system fuel system reset and then turn the key back on for the same amount of time and do this for at least 4 times. Each time you turn on the key if you have waited long enough to allow the fuel system to reset. This will in the end fill the fuel lines and fuel rail on the engine and then you should be able to crank the engine and start ok. do not crank the engine until after you have cycled the ignition key about four times and wait about 2 minutes in-between cycles.
Have a nice day, regards, Dennis

Fuel pump not getting power 2010 toyota camry

try cranking
1/2 cars made only get power cranking and running.
and not just key on.
The FSM has the tests and rules, read it.
or just crank. it.
post back if 12v not at pump cranking.
some cars cut the pump with no spark (most) stopping the fire.
there are easy tests to do . ask for them , after answering the cranking tests.

Long crank time 92 camry

This can be caused by a defective electric fuel pump inside the fuel tank. The problem that occurs is that the fuel pressure check valve in the pump fails, this lets the fuel drain back into the fuel tank and causes long crank times/hard staring and stalls on initial start..

I have a 93 Toyota Camry that will crank but will not turn over. Replaced the spark plugs and the starter. I believe it had the fuel pump replaced as well. it smells as if the engine is getting too much...

no spark crank sensor. good you getting fuel but with no signal from the crank sensor it will not fire up. can also be oil pressure switch so if the oil light wont go out while cranking the engine it can be this as well

2000 Toyota Camry did not start on first try - yellow symbol

Hard to say what it is without testing so I 'm gonna give you a list of things you or a repair shop can check out:
SYMPTOM :NO CRANK
Battery, battery cables, ignition switch, neutral safety switch, starter relay, starter.
SYMPTOM: CRANK NO START
MAKE SURE TIMING BELT DIDN'T BREAK OR SKIP A TOOTH,STARTER current draw test , coil, coil pack, ignition module( only if no spark at the plug wires) fuel pump relay, fuel pump, injector module and drives, fuel pressure regulator.

This year Camry is a good year. Very little problems except annoying EVAP system. TIMING BELT SHOULD BE DONE EVERY 60K . ALONG WITH CAM, CRANK, OIL PUMP SEALS AND WATER PUMP.
I recommend taking your car to Sears Auto Center
they are pretty good with this kind of work.
