I need to know where the driver's door ajar switch is on my 2002 Bravada.

There is no fuse just for door ajar chime.

Door Ajar Warning Chime The door ajar warning chime warns that a door is ajar. The door ajar warning chime is a single chime with a 1 second duration. The door ajar chime sounds when the driver or passenger door becomes ajar while the ignition switch is in the ON position.
The door ajar warning chime inputs are:

The output is the instrument cluster chime.

Your best bet would be to find a Tech like this guy , with the right diagnostic equiment . Door Locks Go Crazy 1 Unless you know how to do automotive electrical testing . Your door ajar switch is a input to a body control module . or GEM as ford calls thiers .

• VERIFY parking lamp operation. If OK, REPLACE the light sensor amplifier. If any parking lamp concerns exist, Parking, Rear and License Lamps REFER to Parking, Rear or License Lamps.

Do you see how complex these systems can be for someone that doesn't deal with these problems on a daily base's ! Check for codes an if there are any , doing the diagnostic's associated with it . Without doing the diagnostic's you could replace parts all day long an not fix the problem .

You have one or more door ajar sensor switches that are defective, have the BCM (Body control module) scanned to see which door is causing it, the light can be turned on by any of the 4 doors. The sensor is located inside the door on the door latch mechanism, there is no fuse as it is a ground circuit.

This is usually a problem with the door ajar switch, which lives in the door portion of the doorlatch assembly. It is usually the drivers door, as that one gets the most use. You can tell for sure with a scanner. I usually take the latch assembly out, but some guys with little hands can install them in place. This does , either way require removal of the inner door panel. door ajar switch in the door latch, they sometime get stuck ,if you try spraying some lube into the latch and open and close the door a couple of time some times they will un-stick otherwise you will need to replace entire latch.

Its on the pillar, part of the main body, not the door itself. Usually close or under where thedoor latch meets the stricker. It may have a small rubber boot on it (They do go bad, and are fairly cheap)

this problem is caused by a small switch inside the door that is attached to the door latch mechanism, it is called a door ajar/coutresy light switch, there are one of these for each door, the dealer can run a test that will id the bad switch very quickly, the output from these switches goes through a control called a lighting control module (LCM), it has the ability to test itself.

if the door ajar light is on then get a can of PB BLASTER at your local parts store and spray all the door latch assembleys really good and open and close each door about ten to fifteen times this will usually free up the ajar switch
