I have a 2001 Chrysler Town and Country limited with the Infinity sound system. The stock amps are located on the rear 6x9s. Can I replace them with different speakers

depending on what size motor you have, the 2.4 has the sensor mounted on the rear of the cylinder head.
the 3.3 & 3.8 engines have them mounted on top of the timing case cover,

You will need to replace the motor/regulator assembly. Your local parts store should carry them or order online. These should be in stock as this is a common problem. Removing the motor bolts will be a pain since they have a rubberized nut hold them in the rear. Try a vise grip on them or if all else fails pull on the motor and pop them out. The replacement assembly uses normal nuts. Pay close attention on how the old assembly bolts up (take a picture before you remove it) since you will have to move the assembly to wrestle it out of the door. Reinstall assembly and check operation before you put door panel back on.
