How much does it cost to have a key mae with the vehicle id number

Take the serial number and vehicle ID with proof of ownership to the dealership of said vehicle and they can get you the key code and even make you a key to fit.

You will just do more damage to the truck. Go to a dodge dealer, they can make you a key from vehicle ID number.

Have someone get the VIN on the car, go to a toyota dealership and see if they can have a set made. This can't be done with the newer vehicles, but they should be able to help you.

With proper proof of identity & ownership of vehicle (title & registration & photo id) a GM dealership can cut you a key & reprogram it for you by using the vehicle id number. Of course for a fee.

u need your key to remove the lock with out damaging or setting off anti theft security ----u can go to dealer with id and proper paperwork for vehicle and dealer can cut a key with vin number to vehicle

I assume the fob is the remote door lock etc In short Yes you will have to return to dealer as they can match it by using your vehicle ID codes As for cost Not sure Shouldn't be too bad tho

no if you go to a dealership with the serial number if you go were the car was sold its faster with proft of ownership give serial number if the guy at the part deparment is ok cost you the price of the key $5.00 good luck .pierre

Did you key have a "Micro-Chip" inside of it? if it did then you could only get replacements at the dealer anyways. Make Sure they have the VIN number of the truck and they can make another key for you....takes a little while...and costly... about $125.00 i think....plus only the dealer can do it.
If its just a regular key..then you may be stuck replacing the tumbler in the ignition switch with a new set of keys... (cheap if you are a do it yourselfer) Can get a ignition switch AND the key(s) at a junkyard and take it apart and swap it.
