SOURCE: Explorer alarm going off randomly; additional electrical isues

Open drivers door and look at the hinge area. You will see a black rubber accordion looking tube going from the door to the a-pillar. This is the protector for the wiring harness. Wiggle it and see if this recreates your concern. If it does then pop it loose at both ends so you can inspect the wiring.Check each one carefully, feel them and tug on them. You will be looking for one that the wire inside the wiring insulation has broken, the two wires to really look at closley are the YE/BK and BK .
It may also possibly be a door ajar switch sticking and for this take some WD40 and shoot some in each latch on the side of the door and open and close the door several times and this usually un-sticks it.

SOURCE: 2006 Altima won't shift into reverse or park

Is there any warning lights or malfunction besides this?? There are three main parts that may cause this: Park/Neutral safety switch(located on the transmission), Brake pedal switch(located at the brake pedal), Shift lock solenoid(located below the shifter). P/N safety switch prevents the shifter from shifting out of (P) or shifting into (R/P) while vehicle is in motion. Brake pedal switch sends a signal to release the shifter lock to shift out of park. Shift lock, locks the shifter as describe above and is located at the shifter base. I recommend inspection/replacement of the shift lock solenoid and P/N safety switch as its an intermitted problem. Hopefully this helps

SOURCE: my park assist warning come on while driving for no reason

You can take it to your Jeep dealer and have the service department try to flash the computer. This may fix it. If not you will need to purchase a shift control module. They are about $ 590.00. This is a very common problem on the Jeep Cherokees and Grand Cherokees. Hopefully you are under warranty still. If you ignore this problem this is what will eventually happen: You will be driving down the road and your vehicle will not want to go over 15 mph and it will shift erratically. Do not wait to correct this problem or you will regret it. Yes it is a very expensive part, but a computer in itself that the vehicle needs to function correctly.

Wow, that's amazing....I do know the newer (third generation) 'L' have a body computer, it sounds like your's has gone loco. the security system and the horrible gas mileage also might be some major issue with the electrical system, specifically the alternator-check voltage while parked and not running (should be 12.5+), and running it should be close to 15 when started, and settle down to around 14 after a minute or 2.

1998 bmw 740 il will not start....lights, radio come on, doors lock and unlock, not sure why it won't strart seems to be locked, is it the alarm system?

Could be the alarm system, the key proximity sensor, etc.
But start with the easy stuff first, like the neutral safety switch, etc.
If it does not start in park, try neutral.
To see if the starter is ok, jump the large terminal at the solenoid, to the small solenoid energizing push on terminal. (make sure in park or neutral, and parking break engaged!)
It is possible to simply wire a momentary contact switch and bypass all the alarm stuff.

Hi There isn`t much that can be done here, I would suggest you take the car to the dealership if the alarm is original, if it is after market then take it to any alarm shop, it needs to be reconfigured.
Good luck.

I drove my car home. It drives in Drive and

Fortunately, park is not a function of the real internal transmission workings. (like clutches, gears, bands etc) Likely your shift cable or linkage needs adjustment, or the cable may have stretched and needs replacement. Even if the problem is inside the transmission, most parking mechanisms can be serviced by just removing the pan, not the entire unit.
