SOURCE: Won't start

Check the battery cables make sure they are clean and tight. Make sure the battery has at least 12V, new batteries sit on the shelf for months sometimes before they are purchased. If this yields no results, remove the starter and have it checked. If it checks bad, replace the starter.

is the starter sub solenoid ok? jump directly across it, it is located on the inside of the fender, the positve battery cable goes to it and then down to the starter, also are you sure the engine turns free.

Replaced starter and sylinoid in my 1989 f250 still wont start

If the old solenoid had a bad short it may have put your new starter out of commission. Have the starter tested-it should still have warranty for repllacement.

1995 honda accord put new starter on then new solenoid still starter will not turn over or nothing checked all fuses grounds still no power to starter?

There is still the starter relay and the actual ignition switch to check. Either could've failed, preventing current from going to the starter while trying to crank the engine. Check them out.

We put in a new battery and then starter. It still will not start, It makes a clikcing noise

When you put a new starter in did it have a new sylinoid with it? Also check to make sure all your connections to power are tight and you have a good ground. One quick way to check is to take the starter out and take a pair of jumper cables hook to them to the battery at one end and then ground the negative to the starter housing and then touch the posative end to the posative terminal on the starter. if the starter engages its not a starter issue but possibly a electrical issue in the vehicle.

Turned key and starter turned over until battery died

This sounds like the sylinoid is bad. Di you check it.
