Depending on the model, recent or latest model has built in
adjuster for headlight. Otherwise, if your car don't have, then
you have to open the front hood and locate one or two screw
bolts besides each headlight. If you only see one (1) then
that can adjust up and down only focus. If two (2) screw
bolts, one screw bolt can adjust up and down (vertical) focus
and the other screw bolt can adjust left or right (horizontal)
focus.

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly,
behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator
support.
You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam
(separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and
lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal
adjustment screws as well
Park
your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height
from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams
and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same
bulb, only do it for the lows)
For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then
aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall.
If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.
For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.
SOURCE: how do i adjust the headlights on a 2001 ford ranger
There should be two screws to adjust vertically/horizontally. both headlight has those. before begining the adjustment if there is a leveling motor adjust it to 0 position.
you will need allen wrench( 4mm). i guess it is a special type for ford ranger headlight becasue screws are hard to reach. when you have proper tool you will turn screws to find correct pattern on wall.(some needs only philips screw driver)
to do this park car in front of a nice flat wall and have 10 meter distance between. direction car should be exactly perpendicular to wall surface. measure the height of hte center of head lights.
record this. mark same line on wall at same height. then find center point of your car and mark it on wall. mesaure distance between two headlight (center to center). mark same distances on the line on wall.
keep in mind that when you turn screws center of beams will move. you need to adjust 10 cm lower than your line and you will match the direction on each headlight. here is a drawing. ( if you have 8 meter of distance you will have 8 cm difference on your line and beam centers)
