SOURCE: 2001 Cadillac Deville oxygen sensor wiring diagram

The wiring diagram shows the wiring color code, Power rating and connector plug used. The wiring diagram explains the vehicle's electrical connections with color code. It's a bit complicated to understand.

1999 Infinity. Where is the fuse that supplies backup/memory power to the E.C.M. on it.

Question edited for clarity and toss in some CAPS.

There is nothing that backs up memory. When you disconnect the battery, all memory is lost, which is why it is important not to do it!

You don't tell us the model? Is it a secret? All questions need 'year make model' as the FIRST 3 words.

If your have a 1999 Infinity I30, the ECM Fuse is Fuse 58.

1998 Infiniti I30 trouble code P0134 were are the oxygen sensors?

code p 0134 refers to heated oxygen sensor(HO2S) 1 bank 1--no activity detected ===causes ---wiring open circuit--heating inoperative---HO2S sensor
it also refers to oxygen sensor (O2S) 1 bank 1 --no activity===causes wiring -- oxygen sensor
HEATED oxygen sensors are in the exhaust manifold or exhaust pipe before the cat converter
oxygen sensors are in the exhaust pipe after the cat converter
bank one is the side closest to the radiator on a cross fitted engine or on the lhs with you facing the fan

Difference between Air fuel ration sensor to O2 sensor?

usually an O2 code is 3 digits and not this type of code. if it has an mass air flow sensor(MAF) it could be it. I would start with checking the MAF readings then the O2 readings. OBD 2 codes are emission regulated so no matter what car it is the codes represent the same problem.

Service Engine light code 431

Here is the definition for code 431.

P0431 MITSUBISHI Description The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the switching frequency ratio of heated oxygen sensors 1 (front O2 sensor) and heated oxygen sensors 2 (rear O2 sensor).

A three way catalyst converter (Manifold) with high oxygen storage capacity will indicate a low switching frequency of heated oxygen sensor 2. As oxygen storage capacity decreases, the heated oxygen sensor 2 switching frequency will increase.

When the frequency ratio of heated oxygen sensors 1 and 2 approaches a specified limit value, the three way catalyst malfunction is diagnosed. The problem could be the catalytic converter, one of the O2 sensors, or an air leak in the exhaust system.

I RECENTLY PURCHASE A 2OOO INFINITI I30 .MY MEHCANIC SAID I NEEDED NEW PLUGS AND REAR /FRONT OXYGEN SENSORS OR O-2 SENSORS.IS THERE ANYHING MORE I NEED TO DO HELP IT PASS EMISSIONS AND RUN BETTER THAT IS...

Your question is to vague to give concrete information, but this is what I know. Every mechanic has a favorite brand when it comes to sparkplugs. Nissan people (your Infinity is a Nissan) like to use NGK spark plugs. The oxygen sensors are what controls the air/fuel mixture once the vehicle has run for about 4 minutes. Have him change the plugs and wires, and the o2 sensors and you should be fine as long as there are no mechanical issues.

PO 420 This is the code that showed up. How do I check it and tell what is wrong?

P0402: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1

The ECM or PCM monitors the switching frequency ratio of heated oxygen sensors 1 and 2. A three way catalyst converter(Manifold) with high oxygen storage capacity will indicate a low switching frequency of heated oxygen sensor 2. As oxygen storage capacity decreases, the heated oxygen sensor 2 switching frequency will increase. When the frequency ratio of heated oxygen sensors 1 and 2 approaches a specified limit value, the three way catalyst (Manifold) malfunction is diagnosed.

101_lmar.gif

Possible Causes:
- Three way catalyst converter Bank 2
- Exhaust tube
- Intake air leaks
- Fuel injectors may be faulty
- Fuel injector leaks
- Spark plugs may be faulty
- Improper ignition timing
- Engine Control Module

Possible Solutions:
The most common cause is the three way catalyst converter Bank 1. Changing just the O2 sensor usually doesn't repair the problem.
