SOURCE: i have a 1997 ford expedition and the overdrive

Hi, this light is signaling a malfunction within the OD shift solenoid that is located within the transmission. the best action here is to take it to the local ford dealer for a PCM scan. you should receive a code that will point to a transmission OD shift solenoid issue.

Please rate and god bless:)

SOURCE: 2003 ford expedition... shaking when driving and

will try to help.the shaking during braking may be a warped brake rotor, shaking while driving is in the wheel alignment. you have several issues to deal with.as far as the engine light flashing, check all your fluid levels in the engine. oil,low coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid. top off fluids as needed. you can reset that engine light by disconnecting the positive cable from the battery for 10mins.this will reset the cars computer. but if you have a sensor or other issues, that light will come back on.the only way to know for sure is to have it code read a garage or dealership will be able to plug it in to get the codes for you.hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com

My ford expedition inside light on, how can I close the light

Sometimes the dimmer switch can be turned to the extreme end and this activates the interior lights. There is also a control on the light itself to put it into one of 3 settings. OFF all the time, ON all the time, and NORMAL to work with the door opening and closing.

1997 ford expedition wont engage in foward or backward

That happened to my old truck, an 04 dodge, and I said to myself " chancery, old chap, this must mean a new transmission" , I was mistaken. The solenoid pack in the tranny was bad. I had that replaced for a fraction of the cost of a new tranny and never once had another transmission problem.

97 Ford expedition blinking check engine light, running rough.

A flashing CEL means that you might be causing damage to your CATs. It will flash when the PCM senses a misfire bad enough to cause fuel to dump into the exhaust. When that happens lay off the throttle. Chances are you've got a bad injector or bad plug.

Use a code reader to know the real reason that check engine light come on.

I need a diagram of the air ride suspension on a 1997 ford expedition

the best thing for you to do is stop by your local ford dealership in the parts department and they be able to print you off the pictures and diagrams you need because i look in my 1997 to-2003 Expedition Haynes auto repair manual and there is nothing on the air ride so stop by your Ford dealership and you be able to get it wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

I change the ignition switch and now wont start the theft light keep flashing

Your fob system needs programming. There is a chip in your key that has to be re/programmed to your vehicles anti-theft system. You may call a special locksmith or tow to dealer to perform this. Hopefully this helps
