You are talking about the VSA activation indicator (triangle with exclamation point in the middle):
This indicator has three functions:
It comes on as a reminder that you have turned off the vehicle stability assist (VSA) system.
It flashes when VSA is active.
It comes on along with the VSA system indicator (the rectangle with VSA in it) if there is a problem with the VSA system.
This indicator normally comes on for a few seconds when you turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position, and when the ignition switch is turned to the START (III) position.
Hope this helps you understand the problem.

The vsa and check engine light cam on because
their is a fault in the system that needs to be looked at.To be on the
safe side i would check the oil and transmission fluid .
Try doing a reset. Disconnect battery for a minute, this will clear the
code ( light ). If the light comes back then take it auto zone or
dealer to have the code read.
You can have the codes read for free at your local parts store like auto zone.
Have them scan it and let me know what the codes are.

I also encountered this problem witha honda brv. I was a little worried about the expensive repair cost. Does anyone know how much it costs?
