SOURCE: Heater fan only works on high speed 4.

sounds like the switch is bad. Test the power coming in to the connector and use jumpers to get the fan to operate at all 4 speeds. if it works then it the switch.

SOURCE: locating heater blower motor resistor

the resistor is behind your glove box. open the box and push in the sides to release it and let it hang down...the resistor is right there. I didn't try to replace it, a friend did it, but the part was under $20.

My heat in my ford van stop working the blower isn't blowing no more when I tur the fan on high

Sounds as if the blower motor has gone out. Need to check for power and ground supply to the motor. If both are present then the motor is bad. If missing power voltage, check the fuse. If missing ground, check the blower motor resistor.

Where is the heater resistor fuse located on 2001 E350 ford van

The heater blower fuse controls power through the resistor, Ford have a habit of fitting the resistor in the air supply tube from the motor, so it is an airflow to help keep it cool.

Hi , I have a 2009 Ford E250 van and all of a sudden the switch that controls the blower motor doesnt activate the blower. I have heat if the vehicle is moving , but its not blowing heat from the vent

There is a fuse, may not be solely for the blower but it has to be fuseed! Anyway I would suggest checking all fuse's both inside and outside boxes first then locate blower relay swoop with the one next to it and test blower if its stil not working its the fan speed switch! They gave trouble on previous models! ! You'd be very unlucky for a 2009 fan motor to fail...good luck.

Location of the resister for the heater fan 350 ford 2006

Its under dash panel.

HEATER BLOWER MOTOR

Its faulty blower motor resistor. The low and medium speed on blower motor is controlled by resistor and its actual speed is high. So because resistor is not working, blower motors actual speed which is high is working.

It can be faulty blower motor or faulty blower motor resistor. Get the blower motor inspected. If it's faulty it has to be replaced.

The heater fan on my 1993 f-350 has become really loud. I only have hi speed which I understand may be a resistor issue but how do I remove the fan and motor assembly to inspect it?

A heater blower motor resistor is an electronic device with three or more progressive resistors that allow the heater blower motor to operate at slower speeds. The highest speed of the heater blower motor is not controlled by the resistor, so when the resistor fails, the fan will often work on the highest speed setting, but not the lower speeds.
To resistor is generally located under the dashboard and under the hood, near the blower motor . The resistor's electrical connector is disconnected, the resistor is removed and the new resistor is installed. On some vehicles it may be easily accessible, and on others it may take partial dashboard removal to replace the resistor.
Look under the hood, generally the wiring for the Blower resistor is attached to the wiring to the blower motor itself
It's inboard & below the motor, near the accumulator. You can see it standing beside the passenger fender. it's the off-white connector behind the L heater hose above the vacuum reservoir & the white WARNING sticker

Heater fan only works on high speed .This truck has auto climate control but also has a manual fan speed switch

This is very likely a bad blower motor resistor. When this resistor goes bad you have only off or high. I hope this helps.

Heater not working on setting 3

The blower motor resistor is bad, when you have the fan on high the fan motor (or blower motor) gets full voltage. When you have the switch on any other setting it gets reduced voltage via the "Blower Motor Resistor". That part is usually fairly close to fan motor in the duct work and is held in place with a couple screws and has a plug in going to with several wires. Sometimes that plug in gets melted to the resistor and the plug (or pig tail) has to be replaced too. This should be a fairly simple fix depending on the location of the resistor. The parts should be less than $100.00
