My wife's 2015 murano had same problem . Out of the blue one day, the rear hatch stopped opening all together. I spent countless hours on the net trying to find answers. Clear code, undo battery, you name it i did it and still same problem. Here is how i fixed mine. I started over at the beginning going one by one checking each component and when i got to the switch in the glove box i noticed that it didnt toggle to the on position like it did when in the off position. I got my multi-meter and a screwdriver and popped out the switch. I took it apart and checked and the swith had a internal failure and wouldn't make contact in the on position. I took the switch and put the contacts ito the on position and tried the rear door hatch and bam no more problems. I rigged the switch to stay in the on position so i didnt have to worry about it again. Hopefully this helps someone and you dont wate time and money on other stuff

SOURCE: handle on rear hatch door broke off.how can i open hatch door until i can get a new handle?

you don't. take it into a Hyndai Dealership and have the handle repaired/replaced. The rear hatch panel/cover has to be removed (from inside the vehicle) to access the hatch latch and open the door.. from that point the handle can be replaced/repaired.

2012 Nissan Murano - rear hatch lock on door doesn't unlock. Fob works, dashboard switch works.

Question edited to correct spelling of model muramo > Murano
Question moved to year make model category.

It must be the switch that is behind the lever on the hatch itself, or linkage to the switch. Other ideas and fixes in the link

Humming noise coming from my hatch in my 2015 Nissan Murano

If this noise is when the vehicle is running it could be the fuel pump which is in the fuel tank.

My hatch opens but it won't stay up without me holding it

If your hatch opens by itself with a push of a button, you will have to replace the door open and close motor located in the left rear of car. If your hatch is manual, you will just have to replace the hatch struts.

2005 nissan murano door lock

The Body Control Modual is not recieving a feed back from the passenger door lock confirming the unlock command and is therefore not energizing the rear hatch. There is no physical lock on the hatch - just yes or no for power from the BCM.

Replace a brake light, how do you remove the lens?

Hi there,

Well you can please follow the below link -
1. Open the rear hatch of the Murano.
2. Remove the screws holding the rear trim covers in place.
3. Pull off the rear trim covers to expose the rear taillight housing assembly.
4. Remove the power connector running to the brake light ballast.
5. Turn the brake light counterclockwise with your hand, and remove the light from the housing assembly.
6. Install the new brake light. Installation is in reverse of removal. Post comments for more help or information......

Good Luck!!

2003 Nissan Murano hatch back door won't unlock or open. Glitchy for a long time, always opened eventually with a ritual of locking/unlocking using the remote/lock on the door, etc. Upon opening,...

I have a 2004 Murano. I opened the small hatch and with a screw driver and someone on the outside managed to open the hatch. The problem appears to be bent pieces inside. After straightening them out and using a good silicon spray, mine works again. It should be lubricated quite frequently.
