Assuming no one has played with the wiring the next step is the starter itself, but do this first park it so you can see the headlights like against a garage door then turn the lights on and try to start if the lights dim and you may hear a click the starter is bad, if not move the shifter to neutral then try to start again if it starts the neutral safety switch is bad, ignition switches are a bit tougher to troubleshoot and require a test lite and DVOM. If you're up to it let me know here and I'll take you through it. I hope this helps, take care.

SOURCE: 2004 Ford Escape Electrical problem

This is a problem with the alternator. Diode rectifiers and voltage regulator replacement will give this baby a 14.2 voltage output. In this 3L V6 SUV removal of the alternator requires removing the right tire, the right axis and undercovering to reach the 6G alternator. It is a 133mm rectifier with a motorcraft, The serpentine belt is better removed from the bottom. Also keep a bucket on hand to recover the oil from the transmission.

AFTER CHANGING THE BATTERY IN MY key fob 2008 ford escape it still does not start the car is there something I am missing itie the orriginall key

Check the keyfob battery replacement section in your owner's manual. It might be the original key but there is a little circuit in the keyfob that allows the car to recognise the keyfob as the owners fob. When the keyfob battery is changed it loses this recognition info and has to be re-registered with the car. This involves a set of actions, like a little ritual, to get the key and car to 'handshake'.
Every make and model have different 'handshake' rituals. If you don't have an owner's manual there's a good chance you'll be able to find your ritual on Google. Good luck.

2008 escape hybrid won't start when you turn the

I am not familiar with hybrids, but i think when you start, it's starting with the battery, so I think you have a bad connection, check and clean the battery terminals.
