A step-by-step procedure on what tools to use on what parts, first to remove to get to the head gasket and so on, with diagrams, pictures, so I know that it's the same car as mine. I can't afford to take my car to a mechanic. Can someone out there help me, please.

I'm sorry, sounds like you need to enroll in a auto tech program.
Testimonial: "Dan, your answer was no help at all. I am 64 years old, a veteran living off my pension. Which means I cannot afford to enroll in a auto tech program. I asked for help from several people and they all said that they are too busy, so I'm doing the work all by myself. I am not in the best of health, so I don't appreciate your answer. I would appreciate just a little bit of help from someone who can actually help me out with my car situation. Can you please point me in the right direction because I don't know where else to look. I would prefer a video, so I can follow along. Thank you for at least taking the time to answer my question."

I do apologize, but I went to school and have been a mechanic for over 20 years. I have worked to buy the tools needed to be able to do what I do. And for someone to ask me to explain step by step what I had to pay for and learn on my own was rather insulting. I do apologize for not being more helpful, but seriously. Buy a Chilton manual and figure it out.

SOURCE: change ignition cylinder? (lock?)
Grandammit...Hey...replacing a lock cylinger requires recoded ignition keys, and a new lock cylinder requires dissassembly of the steering column. Not an easy fix, and I wonder if you are really the thief..you don't sound like a 9 month pregnant girl. Sorry......if I am wrong I am wrong. Drive it with a scredriver until you give birth then fix it.

Yes, a machine shop is the best way.
A warp can be so slight that you won't see it with out the proper equipment.
Just make sure to tell them, you want an estimate before anything is done to it.
If it is warped, they can do a shave to straighten it.
They can also check your valves and valve seats while it is in there.

there should be a belt diagram from a label either on underside of hood or on radiator support. That should help if you can do it yourself.

sealers usually end up costing you more in the long term than the short term. these sealers react to heat and air. so you end up doing nothing more than plugging up you radiator, water passage ports, water pumps get damaged. causing more over heating problems than they solve. no i would go for what the shop gave you as a quote. that seems a pretty reasonable quote for the position you are in.

Keep an eye on your temp gauge, check your radiator fluid daily for a week (or until you're comfortable that the mechanics fixed the issue), and pay attention to odd smells (radiator fluid). A bad seal on the radiator cap would allow fluids to leak out, so hopefully you're all set now.
