Firstly try the spare key , then check for spark, if it has a spark then check for fuel pressure .this engine is interference free so if timing belt breaks it doesn't damage the valves .

its a dodgy sensor ---but what one?? i would go for the autochoke one first but i have no idea what one it is ,now ask me about a seat 124 or a seat 1500 ,same as fiat but made here in spain

A possible faulty TPS (throttle position sensor). It won't run if you run the check engine but it will when you fire it up right away. The check engine restricts the car from running. Have the TPS replaced and you'll be good.

Backfires usually caused either by timing or spark jumping issue, or, lean fuel mix. Might try starting at night with helper cranking and you look under hood (dark) for stray spark. Lean could be several things--coolant sensor, IAC stuck, bad converter or muffler, vacuum leaks, even leaking injector allowing excess fuel to drip into cylinder (I know, I said lean, but this can do it also)

How do i remove head restraint from fiat palio 1.2 ed 3 door car

Tilt the seat then you will see two plastic surrounds where the headrest supports slide into, one will have a tab, with the seat tilted so the headrest can clear the roof push the tab at the same time as you tug the headrest out and the headrest will slide out.

Fiat palio ignition timing

its marked on the coil
and on the valve cover
its a wasted spark system.
the coil is marked (if not sub coil)
2314

1 goes to 1 front cylinder spark.
2 goes to 2.
3 to 3
4 to 4 rear spark.
the ecu knows the order but the wires MUST be right.
#1 spark is closest to front engine pulley, (belt side)
#4 is rear.

Swinging but not starting

cranks but will not start.
test for spark at all cylinders.
test for spark still timed, #1 near TDC, #1 firing. at near 0 degrees.
if the spark is good and timing is good, try test fuel.
if spark is timed wrong, the cam belt or chain slipped.
i have no fiat data. but above is generic.
if spark is good (are spark plugs new and not color black (tips)>
ever do a tuneup this decade?
if an engine floods, crank with WOT, wide open throttle.
(pedal to dah metal)
this clears the flood by cutting all injections of fuel.
if engine is not flooded, try test fuel.

Fiat palio 1 .2 does not want to startcoil pack

run fault codes and check for cam/ crank sensors. Check that the cam shaft is turning ( broken timing belt/ chain) check immobiliser operation.
