I had the same problem, but I rang a dealer and he asked for my reg and was able to give me the right code in a few seconds. And it was free.

The SC-816 is made by MITSUBISHI and the code cannot be calculated for free from anywhere on the Internet.

Try your Volvo Main Dealer....or a Decoding service who will plug it into a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

Howver many Volvo Dealers offer the code for free provided you can quote the car VIN number and the radio serial number

Sir We can not by law pass security codes to you. The reason we can not do so is that any thief could steal someones audio equipment ask for the code and profit from your loss. The only legal means of getting the code is to contact the source of purchase for the equipment be it a retailer or auto dealer. They are supposed to verify the VIN & registration of the vehicle with the serial number of the audio equipment. I apologise for not answering your question but this is the best information I can legally pass you.

call a ford dealer (ask for service)
and tell them you need the code.
They will walk you through the steps.
