If the low coolant message dissapeared when you topped up then the warning light is working correctly, don't forget to add antifreeze to the coolant to protect from low temperature weather conditions.

SOURCE: 2004 Volvo S60 gets stuck

Must be the same as my 2005 V70. Do the brake lights function? If not it's probably a microswitch and /or solenoid needs changing somewhere gearshift mechanism. Mine let me downn yesterday but everything points to this.

SOURCE: Volvo S60 sensor ?

Sounds like an oxygen sensor (there are two). I had a recent problem where I had a rough idle and my S60 continued to stall out. Turned out to be the rear oxygen sensor. After replacement, car idles nicely and car drives normally.

Why does the engine light that reads timing on a 2004 Volvo s60 stay on even after the timing belt and water pump and timing hubs have been replaced?

You can reset the computer by disconnecting your Battery for 15 Minutes. That should reset the Lights on the dash.

How to burp or bleed a 2004 S60 cooling system

You need to crank the heat let the car run for ten minutes shut it off let it cool down till morning check the coolant again top off and drive it for the day periodically checking the level in the overflow I must stress this ONLY USE VOLVO BLUE COOLANT ! If you don't you will find out all of the fun it will cause u people will tell u anything to buy there product but consider yourself warned if you are running green coolant it will eat the fins off the water pump because the metals in volvos are different that's why they had to make a special coolant for acidity so it won't ruin internal engine parts !!!!

My Volvo S60, 2002, 2.4T, keeps on coming with low coolan level, i fill everytime i drive. But soon as i stop, much of the water overflow from the expansion cap which is cracked. What could be the...

thermostats do not keep water in a radiator
There purpose is to maintain the correct coolant flow rate so as to maintain correct engine operating temp
The cap will be the problem if it is a radiator cap/ pressure cap
always check coolant level in the radiator
take it to a radiator shop and have cooling system pressure test dine to check for leaks

I have a s60 parked it in car park Friday PM came back to puddle under radiator drove slowly home (only 1 mile) warning coolant low on dash. Filled up with antifreeze/water mix to max level once cooled...

The low coolant sensor is in the resivor where you put the coolant in. Since you drove it such a short distance the thermostat probably did not open to allow the coolant to pass. There is a skid plate underneath the car you can remove to find the source of the leak.

Where is the fill port for refrigerant lacated on 2001 VolvoS60 2

fill port is on the radiator support (passenger side) To fill a volvo s60 you fill in on the high pressure side and most stores sell kits that only fill on low pressure. You might have to take it to a shop to get the a/c refilled.
