How long since the system was checked for leaks.Evacuated and the right amount of gas entered check sight glass reciever dryer if milky needs regassing also reciever dryer is a filter like your fuel filter it rarely gets changed and should be done.There is a green die they enter into system to check for leaks faulty hoses faulty seals.Faulty compressors

you should be able to tell. the parts with the groves will always go into a grove. the back of the belt will always hit the smooth rollers. so if you put it on and all the places fit. then that is the only way it will fit.

you might have them check the blower motor for the fan while they have the car.sounds like theres a short somewhere but it could be in the fan.maybe a regulator or something is bad in the ac system

The system may be low on refrigerant, due to a leak, or possibly has a faulty low pressure sensor. If it cycles quickly, I would be lloking for a leak. If it only works randomly, but blows cold when working, possible low pressure switch issue. either way, the system should be checked with a qualified repair shop.
