SOURCE: 91 accord alt belt

  1. Apply a force of 100 N (10 kg, 22 lbs) and measure the deflection between the alternator and crankshaft pulley. Deflection: 10 - 12 mm (0.39 - 0.47 in)
NOTE:
  • On a brand-new belt, the deflection should be 4.5 - 7 mm (0.18 - 0.28 in) when first measured.
  • If there are cracks or any damage evident on the belt, replace it with a new one.
    1. Loosen the through bolt and adjustment locknut.
    2. Turn the adjusting bolt to obtain the proper belt tension, then retighten the nut and mounting bolt.
    3. Recheck the belt deflection.

I disconnected the battery on my 2003 honda accord ex and after fixing the battery the alarm system doesn't work.

stock alarm or after market.?
check all fuses
if ok, read the operators guide on this .
or the FSM.
opr guide lost in glove box.?
http://justgivemethedamnmanual.com/honda/honda-accord-owners-manuals/

quotes:
The security system will not set if the hood, trunk, or any door is not
fully closed. If the system will not set, check the Door Monitor on the
instrument panel (see page 60), to see if the doors and trunk are fully
closed. Since it is not part of the monitor display, manually check the
hood.

we are not talking the immobilizer system option,.

odd, most really honda's, the horn sticks on. that year. 03
at battery swap or dead. and recharged.

there are 3 related systems.
IMMO (cant start engine) immoblizer
keyfob door mag locks.
and security (alarms)
the all work together,
do say what works and does not.?

I have a f20a motor in a 91 accord can I put a 2.2 motor without having any major problems

I would only do this with a 92-93 EX Accord motor and keep it OBD0. I did this with no CEL codes, works perfect.

Swap the following parts from your old 91 engine to the 92-93 EX motor:

Intake manifold
Engine Wiring Harness
Distributor
Exhaust manifold (header)
Air Conditioner bracket and Air Conditioner Compressor

Keep your current ECU in the car. Put your transmission on the motor before you drop it in.

If you go to the 94-97 / 2.2 you will run into some additional sensors, crank position sensor, etc... with that motor since it switches over to OBD2 in 1996.

Good luck...

Honda accord coupe 2003

Depends on how it's done. If you do it, it could be about $2500-$3000. you will have to pull all the necessary hardware, transmission, computer, wiring harness and other parts from a car that has a stick. And swap them over.
