You most likely disconnected the wireing harness. Check the plugs at the brakes.

So I have a 2007 Chevy HHR that has both the abs and traction control lights on. I've changed the drivers side wheel bearing and when I went to pick up a coworker, that's when the lights came on

If the light's are on DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are stored > Take it to a qualified repair shop ,don't recommend an unqualified person try to resolve these type issues .

Abs and traction control light stay on

Grinding could be what's called "brake dust"... nothing can be done about that, take your vehicle back and ask them to clear the light.

2005impala,has check engine light on, traction control light will come on and a grinding noise occurs when turning wheel sharply around corners. Then it stops.Happens all the time, even on dry surfaces

have code retrieved most auto stores offer this service for free ---check hub /wheel bearing grinding good possibility its shot hub has abs sensor built into it which can be part of traction control issue -c/v axle can also give grinding issue ----as well as check brakes may need brake replacement --stuck/damaged caliper - a brake pad damaged/stuck against rotor

I have a 2004 yukon xl 1500 all wheel drive with traction control switch and when i stop i get the usual abs slip function . the abs light is on code is right front wheel sensor . replaced now when i pull...

It could be simple, when it starts grabbing and you've driven it for say a mile or 2 have you gotten out and felt the rotor with your finger? If you haven't be very careful, it could be hot enough to blister you. It could simply be that your caliper is now hanging up and the pads are dragging or maybe your wheel hub assembly bearing is finally giving up. I owned a 2002 Chevy Silverado, same thing, Speed sensor went bad, changed it, then a grinding then my wheel cover started turning a dark color, wheel bearings went bad, changed both sides and all was good. A decent Hub assembly will cost you about $150 - $200 at the parts store. If you buy the cheap ones for like $75, you'll be changing again in about 1 year or just after warranty expires...First hand experience.

Replaced abs traction control sensor on 2006 pontiac torrant when i brake fill's like traction control kick's in right before i come to a complete stop make's a grinding sound or some sort

look on the front axles for the ring with teeth look between the teeth for cracks rust forms behind the ring and the rust expands and cracks the ring the crack then sends the wrong speed signal to the brake module

How do you replace a cb joint in a 2002 impala? I just had hub bearing replace because the traction light and ABS light came on while driving on dry pavement. The light came back on after first repair. 2nd...

It is a CV joint, Constant Velocity, and they do make noise when they go, they can be changed, but it will be a lot easier to just take it to a shop and let them do it. It involves a lot of work, something you may not be up to. This won't do anything for the abs light, and it might not do anything for the traction light, but it will fix the axle. The lights indicate something not working. Most people don't fix the abs, and I don't know what to say about the traction light. I don't know why it is coming on. Unless the alternator is going bad. Sometimes when the voltage reg goes inside the alternator it will send mixed signals to the dash board and you will get a light show. Hope this helps.

ABS and Traction control warning lights come on independtly and jointly. I believe the problem is the hub mounted sensor. How do I replace it.This is on a 2003 Monte Carlo SS.

hi if you know for sure it's a wheel speed sensor
remove that wheel
remove the caliper and caliper bracket
remove the brake rotor
there are 3 bolts on the other side of the knuckle(13mm)
remove them
remove the axle nut(1 5/16)
remove the hub bearing assembly(you may need to use a hammer on the hub flange)
hope this helps

Abs and traction control lights coming on

Its the abs sensor, if you encounter an ice patch or snow you won't even be able to stop because the pedal will will push back and make the rip grind noise. If you pull the ABS fuse out, you won't have ABS but you can stop and you won't have the grind noise and back pressure for now. Its safer to not have ABS when the sensor is faulty.
