The problem is either the trans/bell alignment, or the pressure plate's installed height,

SOURCE: Removal of slave clutch master cylinder

The hydraulic cylinder is in the bell housing. When you separate the motor and tranny, you will see it as a unit with the throw-out bearing. Take the hydraulic line off before you start. You will have to bleed it when you are done.

SOURCE: Bleeding clutch slave cylinder

i think youre doing the right thing. they are very stubborn to bleed because the hyd. line goes up high across back of engine before droppiing back down to slave cyl., trapping air. could try to gravity bleed by opening bleeder at slave, cap off of master cyl, full with fluid then it may start to come out after a bit. then try your process again. or can try to bleed at connections further up the line, working your way back to bleeder. hope this helps. be patient.

SOURCE: Clutch won't release on 92 Nissan P/U. Changed

If the vehicle has been standing for some time (6 months or more) without use, the clutch plate facings may be 'stuck' to the flywheel and pressure plate surface.
To check/clear this problem:-
(with the engine not running!)
hold clutch pedal down - then from under vehicle, find an opening in the clutch bellhousing (such as a water drain slot) where you can see/access the edge of the clutch plate (sandwiched between the pressure plate and flywheel).
Use a screwdriver blade (or similar tool) to prise clutch plate free from flywheel face (only small movement is required).
If the above is not the cause of your problem, 1) the clutch throwout mechanism should be examined for problems,
2) the pressure plate is faulty- may need to be replaced.

Adjusting a clutch on 93 nissan pu

You can't adjust the clutch, your problem may be the slave cylinder. It is connected to the side of the transmission, first check your clutch master cylinder under hood on right side by firewall,if low, then slave cylinder is leaking and needs to be replaced, easy to remove, part is 17.99.I have a 85 Nissan truck, had her for 25 years, replaced mine a few times, use brake fluid.Get a 9.00 beeder kit at Autozone too. Here's a link on how to do and the bleeder kit...https://www.autozone.com/repairinfo/repairguide/repairGuideContent.jsp?pageId=0900c1528018d42a the bleeder kit.https://www.autozone.com/test-scan-and-specialty-tools/brake-bleeder/oemtools-one-man-brake-bleeder-kit/46839_0_0 Here's the slave cylinder.https://www.autozone.com/drivetrain/clutch-slave-cylinder/duralast-clutch-master-cylinder-12425/69758_1035179_0_238602

Clutch to the floor and truck jumped

Hydraulic clutches do that when the master or slave cylinder go bad.Start by replacing the slave cylinder down on the bell housing. After replaced, fill the clutch master cylinder with brake fluid, crack the valve on the side of the slave open and hold your finger over the tip while a helper slowly depresses the clotch pedal.Once you get fluid from the tip, close the valve and refill the master cylinder.Good to go.

Replace the brake light switch and the light is still on a 1998 nissan Frontier. I remove the old switch and put a new one on the same problem. Light is still on.

Check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder and make sure the E-brake is not on. The "BRAKE" light does not come on because the brake switch is bad.

2000 Nissan Maxima Se with a manual transmission 135K miles original owner. Rear engine seal leaking. Mechanic has suggested that since he has to separate the engine and the transmission he should replace...

You should not have to replace the master or slave cylinder with a rear main seal but if the clutch has alot of miles on it you should have that done with the seal because you will be paying for almost all of the labor with the seal.

Difficult shifting from first to second and second to third

clutch may be worn, may need replacing ,but first check system for fluid leak, cneck fluid level and condition, if black in colour then you have worn seals, you can replace seals but i recomend replacing components with new ones becouse the bore of master and slave cylinder can also wear causing seals to leak, note: when servicing clutch system you change clutch and preasure plate and fly wheel if out of spect.
