there is a push button switch in the door jamb for the lift gate. look closely and you will find it. when the door is shut the button is pushed and the interior lights and open door warning go off. it is broken and you need a new one. this will be a dealer item and it snaps or screws in. when you get the new switch you may want to pay someone with mechanical aptitude to replace it.
2000 Lincoln Navigator interior lights won't turn off and now the door ajar light is on as well. How can this be fixed, I tried wd40 as suggested it didn't work HELP!
Check Body Control Module OF Vehicle. This Module Acts As A Switchboard commanding on or off of what ever function inside of vehicle you turn on, wipers, blinkes interior lights etc, possible ground wire to or from control module or possibly bad module!
