i had the same problem... go through the menu until you see reprogram remote. hit the check mark button and hold the lock and unlock button until the horn honks. key has to be on car not running though. You will eventually have to do it again but for some reason it will work for a while.

There is now way to do it yourself as you need to go to the dealer. They have the scan tool and key code for your car.

Close all the vehicle doors.
Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder.
Press and hold the door unlock switch.
While holding the door lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF.
Release the door unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode.
Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on the transmitter. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of the transmitter.

There are two wires in the trunk that you have to fumble around with. When you open the trunk it is on the right hand side...They may be taped up, play around with the two wires until you here the locks of the doors lock and then unlock and the trunk latch will open. Make sure the windows are open when you try this so you wont get locked out by chance. Once this happens, hold the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons simultaneously for 15 secs until the locks repeat the locking and unlocking pattern they performed earlier. Once this happens, you are programmed and ready to go.
