After installing solenoid and new battery car seemed to be in an anti theft mode? Could not figure out how to get out of anti theft mode. So in the process of attempting to disable that is when the brand new battery was drained.
Had variable timing solenoid installed - Don't think that has anything to do with the battery draining . You have a parasitic draw on the battery . Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's ?

Check the charging system your alternator may be going bad or nOT charging fully. when vehicle is off the voltage at battery terminals should be at least 12volts and when vehicle is running at idle at least 14 volts. If this is NOT so when vehicle is off then battery is BAD. If NOt so when vehicle is running then BAD alternator. Also check battery terminals and make sure they are tightly secured and NO corrosion on terminals. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA
SOURCE: lost my instrutions and alarm speaker not installed. can,t start
put key in driver side door lock and unlock it should turn off the alarm and you should be able to start it, it will do this anytime the power is distrupted or if you unlock the jeep from any door other than the driver real pain....
SOURCE: car will not start
You probably can't.
If the anti-theft module is in the cluster, you would need the correct key chip for the car the cluster came out of.
You might be able to bypass the passkey system by running a wire to the fuel pump relay and other components.
You may need a shop manual to find the circuits.
SOURCE: How do I disable the anti-theft system?
First hooking a battery up backwards can damage computers and the alternator. The battery for your car is opposite of every other battery on the market. Some thing to think about. So with that. Start the car, remove the positive post from the battery. If the car dies, replace the alternator. The security system will not drain a battery every two or three days with the car being driven two or three times a day. Especially a new battery.
