A circle with lines around it - depends where it is -
If its a top left light, then it should be a circle with an exclamation mark in the middle, and two lines running part way round the outside (1 to 5pm and 7 - 11pm). Thats the handbrake and brake fluid light which comes on for about 3 seconds when you start the engine ... if it comes on at any other time - seek help.
If its top centre, and has ABS in the middle, then its the anti lock braking light. Similar to above, lights up for a few seconds at start.

Muffler with lines coming off it - are they pointing outwards from the circle, (with a thermometer in the middle = transmission oil temperature guage), or are they on the left and all parallel (which would be main beam indicator, which lights up blue when on)

SOURCE: S Light came on dash board

The purpose of this selector is to maintain a lower gear while passing another vehicle or as I've used it through driving in the mountains up the winding roads. Women take notice when you put your purses between the center console and the shifter, sometimes the weight of your bag presses this button.

Land Rover Discovery Series II has the lights on the left front, rear left on at all times. Is it a fuse?

Unlikely to be a fuse blown. Doesn't your Discovery have Daytime Running Lights? If so the right side might be a blown fuse. If the rear lights are on, that mean you have the nighttime lights on.

Suggested Solution 2002 Land Rover Discovery Series II Logo Problem with 2002 Discovery Series II Starts fine when cold, after running dies on idle then wont start 2002 land rover discovery, starts fine...

The ignition system is controlled by the ECM. Check power at fuse box in on right side under dash. Check fuses right side engine compartmentlower dash panel if all OK check power to ECM located right side "A" pillar in alloy box. this unit could be faulty if no spark at coils, assuming they have been connected correctly. may have to get tested for codes at L/R dealer or someone with test tool. Another source of problem may well be flat battery in transponder key. The indicator light on the dash willflash rapidly for 10 seconds if the vehicle has been unlocked with the remote and the drivers door is opened if the battery in remote is getting low

Diagnostic code for land rover discovery 2 se7 p1590 whats it mean ?

Code P1590 is a rough road/ABS fault that normally will also show up when the ABS is having problem with the lights coming on and off or on all the way. Only indicating the the 3 Amigos are on or come on go. Fix you brakes and then you can clear the code.

It can be clear with a proper scanner and is not being caused by any other ABS part.

Check the troublecodes.net/landrvr for other details.

Hope this help (remember rated).

S Light came on dash board

Your "s" light is probably surrounded by something that looks like a gear. If that is true, then you have selected sport performance of the transmission. To deselect the sport option, look near the bottom of the gearshift and you shall see a button that says "mode", press that button and the light should extinguish.
