Most common cause is a bad fuel pump. Check the fuse before changing the fuel pump

Schrader valve , if equipped and check fuel pressure there . Power to and ground pulse at injectors . Power and ground to fuel pump with load testing pump circuit .

SOURCE: 94 dodge grand caravan no fuel in fuel rail

Dear Ron, you have replaced fuel pump and fuel filter. You have checked the fuel pump relay. Still no fuel in rail. Try bypassing fuel relay with jumper from batt to fuel pump. If o/k then check computer for ground to relay. This system uses a relay that is operated by the computer that supplies a ground for the relay to operate. The wire color is green,16 gage. If the ground is not available then "no fuel" Check this with a test light. Key on and crank apply test light to ground wire and other end of light to ground. You should hear relay click and get fuel. If this checks out you will need to replace computer or get creative with rewiring the relay so it works without computer input. Good luck Moe

I didn't run my dodge dakota for 3 years. and it won't start. ...it cranks but won't start..could it be the old gas in tank

That would be may first guess; the next being gummed injectors for the same reason. Get a can of starter fluid and spray dome into the throttle body while cranking the engine. If the engine fires and then dies, you can be somewhat assured that your problem is fuel or fuel delivery system related. If it doesn't fire on the starting fluid, then you need to check for spark and possibly compression problems.

My 1997 dodge truck 360 turns over and is getting fire but won't start.I bought a new ignition switch and the black box but it still won't start

Pull rubber hose off the side of plastic throttle body cover..spray starting fluid in where hose was connected, have someone turn key while you spray, if you don't have someone, spray for abt 5 seconds then try and crank. If cranks and runs briefly, its a fuel problem, fuel pump fuse, bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter .

Car won't start 2003 Dodge Stratus sxt coupe cranks but won't start what could b the problem? I tried spraying starting fluid in the air system but it still won't start!

i would check and see if spark pluges are firing. you can take one out and plug into spark plug wire then let the bottom of the plug sit on engine and get someone to try to start while you look at the plug to see if there is any fire. if you have no fire or fuel it would be the crankshaft sencer. it could be the timing belt but the motor would sound different turning over then it used to.

My dodge stratus wont start it will turn over but wont start

Listen for the fuel pump when you first turn on the key to the run position. If you hear it then spray a small amount of starting fluid in air intake while someone tries to start it if the engine fires then most likely a Crank Position Sensor. The CPS controls your injectors.

2003 Dodge Neon SXT. Car ran out of fuel...put 5 gallons of gas in...car won't start, even after jumping. Advice?

One thing to try is to swap out the fuel filter, as it might have sucked up some gunk out of the bottom of your tank when you ran it dry.

2003 Dodge Stratus will not start

It's all process of elimination. Since you checked fuses, first thing I would do is spray some starting fluid in the intake hose to see if the engine starts for a few seconds. If it does you know it's fuel related. Meaning not getting fuel for any reason. You replaced the pump, but perhaps the pump is not getting power... or the fuel pressure regulator is bad, or the filter is clogged. If the engine DOES NOT start when spraying starting fluid in the intake, then you know it's ignition or ECU related. Start there and report back to us.

1999 dodge ram 3500 cummings turbo diesel will not start.

Diesel engines fire on compression alone (usually 400psi).The Truck may have air trapped in the fuel system. When you perform any fuel system repair on a diesel it is going to take alot of cranking to get the air out. You can take the breather loose and shoot a VERY small amount of starter fluid in the intake and it should start. Do not use starting fluid much as it can damage the engine. Good Luck.
