The code is for a problem with the torque converter clutch solenoid valve inside the transmission. Could be the valve or something else in the transmission. If you think you want to proceed with testing I would recommend a shop manual that covers transmissions.
Unless the head gasket is leaking, I would think you are looking for something electrical that is not working when hot, or a fuel problem. Do you know if you have spark and fuel pressure when it will not start ?
P0700 is EATX code present.
It simply means that the engine computer has noticed that the transmission computer has a dtc in it. This causes the Pcm (engine computer) to turn the check engine light on. You will need to have the TCM (trans computer) checked for codes to know what to diagnose.
error code P1776 - Replace rear solenoid switch
Likely both related The P1776 probably kicked off the P0700 notification.
If the vehicle turns over and don't start first check fuel , you said good battery now the electrics but before you start checking do you know how to check or how the engine works , if no get someone to plug in a car code reader

Auto zones computer **** not trying to be rude but Im not to fond of there $99 diag tool. Anyways have you tried the dealer, to see if maybe your light may just be a computer glitch or doubtly a maint. light going on and off. Its to bad its not reading it as a hard code. but you could go buy a repaire book and see if it can tell you how to use the OBD II to make the codes flash when the light is on. just a thought for you.
can a speed sensor cause the engine to miss on a 98 nisson frontier
