Question about 1998 Chevrolet Express
I have a 98 Chevy 2500 work van. Yesterday it began idling very high, drove it for a little while and it lost all power and died. Towed it home, got a computer and the p0102 code came on. Checked all the vacuum hoses, replaced the maf? Still is idling high? It has the 4.3 L V6 in it. We actually had bad storms this weekend so I thought something got wet, but this is the first time the check engine light has been on since i've owned this van. No ideas, need help.
Check to see if the pink wire on the mass air flow connector has voltage with key on.It come's from fuse #15 inthe under hood power box. Also called eng 1 fuse.If voltage is present try the old trick of using carb cleaner to see if you have a vacuum leak.that will also cause a high idle oon fuel injected veh.If you can't find anything ther your going to need to see your mechanic to trace the trouble tree down for that code. There is a long process for that code. Good luck.

Testimonial: "Very good advice, tried all. I now have replaced the throttle positioning sensor and cleaned the idle air control valve. Working but engine light on"
