I'm having problems with my audi that started today. It kind of bucks while im waiting at the stop light or have it in reverse. I tried turning off the air condition and kept it in reverse for a little than in drive and it didn't buck. But when i put the air on it bucks. I don't have any issues with it cathcing gears and the rpm's don't go higher than they are supposed to. Also the cooling fan goes on almost instantly when i turn the car on, could there be a problem with the coolant and or cooling system?

Most cooling fans will turn on when the car is cranked. The bucking could be from when the engine compensates for the added load thats when you feel the buck. If you think the bucking is excessive the engine maybe compensating too much and you may need to run it by your local shop. Call your dealer, it might be a known issue or recall.

2008 Audi A6- EPC light and engine not cranking after stopping at Walmart.

More than likely the stater motor is knackered, but if it's a manual drive you should be able to push start,in second gear.

My 2006 Nissan Altima started skipping or a slight buck today and has off and off for a few weeks, but today when it did that, the engine light came on. The mechanic checked it and said it was the crank...

My 2006 Altima used to be HORRIBLE. The engine would sometimes be hard to start. Bucked like crazy. It would stall randomly if I was stopped or driving slowly (stopping or going for a light, while slowing down during turns). After a couple calls, over a period of months, checking for recalls they finally said there was a recall on the entire engine. Thank goodness my car was still under its 100K miles. Nissan fixed it, as they should. They also claimed the crank sensors needed to be replaced & that my engine mount was cracked. We just paid for all that b/c we were finally glad to have the engine problem resolved free of charge. Loooong story short, have your local dealer check for recalls.

Hi, I bought used Audi A6 Quattro 130K miles. For the first several days, it run without any problem. Early this month, I was driving a rather hilly highway and the car start to drive rough, hearing some...

I would check to see if the catalyic converter is clogged. Drop the tail pipe at the manifold. Start and drive it for a block you will be able to tell real quick. It should run smooth and have good power. It will just be noisy. Or you could have coil problems.

2002 Audi A4 Esp Light comes on, car turns off when I have to sto

I had the same issue with my '05 A4 1.8T.  Turns out it was the RPM sensor.  Audi tried to tell me it was teh fuel pump and the cam-shaft positioning sensor.  Paid for teh fuel pump replacement and it died 6 blocks from the dealership.  Then they replaced the RPM snesor, works great now... Except it's still an Audi.

Audi TT stalling

Sounds like it could be your alternator (the part which recharges your battery while you're driving.) If it's in the process of dying, it will still give a little power back, and it will seem to be doing it's job when you're in the shop, but after some driving, you'll lose power. If it isn't that, there's also a chance it could be you have a short somewhere which is draining your battery.
I would get your alternator checked first.
I hope that helps.

1999 A4 audi 1.8T

Hi A J Mae,
Do you mean the traffic indicators,( turn signals) or do you mean the dash board indicator lamps? If it's the dash warning lamp indicators, they work on a fail safe system, when you turn the ignition on before the start position, all the lights will come on untill start up and ten they will go off automatically within a second or two....if they stay on with the engine runnig you have a problem we have not covered here.
That will be your hazard warning switch, the one that will be flashing on the dash with a triangle showing on it....If that doesn't do it it'll be something to do with the anti theft device...get out of the car lock all the doors and then press the button on the key fob
