Grand prix front passenger floorboard gets wet

I have a 2002 Grand Prix and the front passenger floorboard gets soaked during most heavy rainfall. Weird part is that several times, the water sits ONLY on top of the rubber mat! The floorboard must have been wet when the water runs over the mat. Can't figure how water is getting in. My A/C has nothing to do with it.

You could have a leaking windshield seal, and its running down the inside of the dash and onto the mat. Has the windshield been replaced?

you could use silicon spray or sealant but that is a cheap, messy fix, get the seals replaced. the switch issue is probably down to water damage and corrosion, replace the switch

Blower motor goes out every so often? Design flaw connected to the wiper motor???

could be that when it rains or is wet out that water is leaking into your car under the hood under the vent by the windshield wipers on the passenger side and instead of being filtered out its going into the car on the passenger side floor. (check to see if this is wet after a heavy rainfall) and causing a short and rusting it out. this happened with my 2002 grand prix just this year. I got a water resistor for like $3.50 from a local pontiac dealership/parts store and put it in. Its easy to install and it poured out today and my car didnt leak at all.
