Generally it is located on the top of the fuel pump module external of the tank. On your model it should be the black box on top like the one in this picture. Is the Evaporative Emission System Pressure Sensor - https://contentinfo.autozone.com/znetcs/additional-prod-images/en/US/dlp/EFG1519/6/image/4/

SOURCE: what P0453-Evaporative Emission control System Pressure Sensor h

P0453 is for the fuel tank pressure sensor. This code means that the voltage on the sensor was greater than 4.5V during key on engine off or during any engine operating mode.
Normal voltage from this sensor with no vacuum or pressure on the system should be 2.37 to 2.97V.
PCM sends a reference voltage of 5V to the sensor and tells if there is pressure or vacuum in the fuel tank by the voltage that returns from the sensor.

Possible causes are:

  • FTP circuit open
  • VREF shorted to VPWR
  • Damaged PCM
  • FTP circuit shorted to VREF or VPWR
  • SIG RTN circuit open
  • Damaged FTP sensor

  • Usually it is a loose connector at the sensor or a bad sensor.
It mounts on top of the fuel tank, has a 3 wire connector. To replace it you have to push down on it and twist,if I remember right CC.

    SOURCE: 1998 PONTIAC SUNFIRE ADVISE

Exhaust Gas Recirculation System Is the main problem here. the other code P0118 may be a bad temprature sensor or your thermostate needs to be changed. Last it could be a weak water pump.

So what is an EGR system and how does it work? EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation, and as its name implies, this system allows exhaust gasses from your car to be re-circulated into the engine, helping to reduce emissions. These systems are mostly comprised of the EGR valve, a DPFE (Delta Pressure Feedback EGR) sensor, hoses, a vacuum regulator, some vacuum lines, wiring, the computer and the exhaust tube leading to the valve itself.
The car's wiring can be tested in the normal fashion by looking for broken and lose wire, and all vacuum lines can be checked easily for cracks, leaks and correct routing.
The last thing i would then check is the the EGR valve, EGR vacuum regulator and DPFE sensor (or similar flow sensor).
I hope this helps and good luck

SOURCE: Im trying to locate the Evaporative emission

It is built onto the fuel pump. You can access the fuel pump in the trunk under the carpet. Remove the bolts from the rectangular cover and it is the black sensor pushed into the fuel pump housing.

SOURCE: OBDll code p0452, Evaporative Emission System pressure sensor/switch low input, what does this mean

Your Charcoal Evap filter is dirty.
Clean it or replace it (some cars can be simply cleaned - some cannot).
It is located in the engine compart, ment (you will have to consult the owner's/service manual to find out exact;y where it is).
    ..
Note: Sometimes this code can be driven by a bad gas cap seal as well - so don't forget to check that the gas cap is good).

You may need a mechanic. At least a shop manual.
The catalytic converter code means the computer does not think the cat is working right based on input from the O2 sensors. That data would need to be checked out and verified along with a temp scan of the cat itself.
The other two codes are saying the signal from the pressure sensor is too high and too low. The computer measures pressure inside the gas tank to make sure it vents correctly. The pressure sensor could be faulty, or it could be something else in the venting system.

Where is the fuel pressure sensor located on 2000 GMC Sierra p/up 5.3

They didn't have a fuel pressure sensor in 2000.... are you referring to the fuel tank pressure sensor? That sensor measures the vacuum/pressure in the fuel tank and is related to evaporative emission control. That sensor is externally located directly on top of the fuel pump on top of the fuel tank. It has a 3-wire connector plugged into it.

Could it be that the ecu is wrong

No it is not Catalytic Converter related. Your fuel tank pressure sensor must be disconnected or the wiring to it defective for the evaporative emission system.

P0456 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (very small leak)
P0457 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (fuel cap loose/off)
P0458 Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit Low
P0459 Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit High

At least the cap isn't loose for the gas tank.

I would clear the code with an OBD-II Scanner 'erase code' button, and see how long it takes for it to come back.
