Hi juannino , I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?

When you say "infront" of your map sensor, do you mean your mass air flow sensor (maf) located in the air intake system between the air filter and the top of the manifold, or are you speaking of your manifold absolute pressure sensor (map) that is located on the manifold?

It is probably the TPS(Throttle Position Sensor) or the IAC( Idle Air Control Valve)
They are not very expensive, I buy mine from AutoZone. Not always but usually they will throw a check engine light. If so let A/Z put their machine on it, that should help pin point which one it is. Just thought of something else, if your is on the passengers side it could be the EGR Valve Selinoid. Hope this helps you.

SOURCE: knock sensor

The knock sensors are located in the rocker valley underneath the intake manifold. GEt a hynes manual to assist you in replacing them. There is acertain tightening sequence when taking the manifold on and off. It is made of a composite plastic so use care and do not over tighten.

SOURCE: 99 Chevy Tahoe... Rear turn signals, brake lights, and hazards

I had this problem, and to be honest, it happened to the left side about a week later...it's the board that the bulbs plug into...it's a very common problem with this model. So popular that you can normally get the socket board off the shelf at a parts store! it's extremely simple to replace, and I replaced all the bulbs at the same time!

SOURCE: 99' Chevy Tahoe Air Conditioner not working

It doesn't blow cold air? Doesn't come on at all? What's the problem? If it doesn't blow cold after a charge, it leaks. Either on the compressor or in a line or both. To start at the dealer, a compressor is about $1200. That's what they told me. I have two leaks. You can buy remanufactured compressor on ebay for under $200. Or find a good shop (polar bear around here) with reasonable prices and have them do it for something in between.

If it no air is moved at all by your climate control system, the blower motor could be fried, the switch may have gone bad or a fuse is blown perhaps. If it moves air, but not cold air, recharge it and see if it stays cold. If so, great! If not, find the leak.

SOURCE: I unplugged the Mass Airflow

Most likely if there is no mass air sensor you actually unplugged the inlet air temperature sensor IAT. This is a little bead like thermistor that sits in the ducted air stream to measure incoming air temperature. Without an air mass sensor your engine will have instead a manifold absolute (air) pressure MAP sensor. This measures the absolute air pressure (the difference between the atmospheric air pressure outside and the drop in pressure inside) in the inlet manifold. The drop in pressure in conjunction with air temperature allows the engine control unit to calculate the amount of air in the engine to which it adds the correct amount of fuel per each injection cycle. The loss of the IAT signal is not critical as the ECU will assume a default value. However when extreme low temperatures are encountered the absence of the IAT may be become noticeable as the charge of air entering the engine will be denser and as a consequence the fuel mix will be much leaner; maybe to lean to start up.

Hard starting, misfire & cut out when revved with MAP sensor connected

Hi Bernie, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair

Bernie, this is hard to say without diagnosis, but I can tell you that 99% of the time when you unplug the MAP Sensor and it runs better, then its usually the MAP Sensor. If it should turn out that a new MAP doesn't fix it, then check for broken or frayed wires and check the connector for damage. Hope this helps and please visit my auto-repair website and check out my satisfied customer testimonials.

My 1996 chevy tahoe has rougha rough idle and low r.p.m's in drive what can i do to solve this problem

I would do a full tune up first. Plugs, wires, rotor, cap and coil. If your idle is still rough consider MAP sensor, idle position sensor, or any other emissions sensors maybe suspect. They usually set codes that would trigger your "check engine" light. On the other hand check belts and tension pully if you have one. Lastley, change the fuel filter put in some injector cleaner. A good shop can test the fuel pressure from the fuel pump. I hope this can help.

replace your MAP sensor(manifold absolute pressure) the map sensor is the computer for your fuel pressure regulator telling how much pressure. Unless your tahoe runs like **** going up hill than it inevitably your fuel pump
