Yes, there is no real difference between the body or frame of a 2whl and 4whl as long as they are the same length, IE standard cab, crew cap, long bed, short bed... If it is a HD 4x4 you might have an extra hole in the floor of the cab for the shifter lever, but the 2whl should have a block off plate for this. If not, you might need to fab up a patch.

SOURCE: blower puts out too many amps

I never read that the fuse was blowing in any of the descriptions, but if we are going to jump ahead and suppose the armature is shorted, wouldn't it be easier to just pull the plug off the motor and replace the fuse and turn the motor switch on and see if the fuse pops after we have eliminated the motor. If fuse does not blow, the motor is bad. If fuse blows, you have a short somewhere.

In my experience, armatures usually fail open and the motor simply won't work. I still stand by my suggestion of step by step methodical troubleshooting rather than buying the parts first.

SOURCE: 99 GMC Suburban -- While driving engine cut

Does it tick then a bit later tick again? If so that's most likely an automatic circuit breaker that you hear. If you have a short in the wiring the circuit breaker kicks out (tick) and shuts that circuit down, after a minute or so the circuit breaker cools enough to reset itself (tick again). That would explain the truck shuting down. The circuit breaker will continue to reset itself until the battery goes dead, I would suggest disconnecting the battery until you can get it to a shop. You have a short in the wiring somewhere. Good Luck!

Why is my 99 suburban overheats mostly when a/c is on?

The AC puts more load on the cooling system, so if the cooling fan is not working very well, this could be the issue.
