Water Leak I have a constant leak from somewhere around the water pump. It leaks when the car is off. The water pump along with the upper and lower hose has been replaced.

If the water pump just take your finger in it and if it green smell like coolent then it the pumps.
But Are you shure its not the ac compressor with condensation leak off it after running the ac.
You can go auto zone rent out there presure tester and pumps air in the system and that show you were the leak is if you have one. Do this when the van shut off and cooled down the attachment screws on top the radiator. If this helps you give me thumbs up.

1997 CHEVYS10 PICKUP what can cause antifreeze to leak underneath truck ?

check oil first. If it looks like a milk shake, its most likely head gaskets.
(worst case besides a cracked head/block)
could be many things.
Check upper & lower radiator hose connections. (upper to water neck...lower to water pump)
Check the heater hoses on the passenger side going from intake & water pump into the firewall. (should be a 3/8" size hose)
Those are a more common leak on the GM vehicles)

if you hear a knocking or fast tapping noise, it could be the bearing in the water pump, and you could be leaking from the water pump flange at the front of your motor.

Hope this helps.

If you find the problem and need advice, let me know.

Water leak fro left side of engine

You might have either a blown head gasket or a crack in your engine block on that side of the motor. If you dont have any leaks from hoses, fittings or the water pump itself then mostly likely it is the head gasket, another way to confirm and make sure is to do an oil change, if there is chunky build up or sludge like discolorations due to coolant or water leaking into your oil then its the head gasket, and you'll need to definitely have it replaced or look into purchasing another vehicle. If theres no problems with your oil then its a leak from somewhere else. Possibley a heater hose or coolant line.

1998 cadillac deville leaking coolant, temperature was around 196 and when leaking started temperature has gone as high as 225, what is causing this problem?

This most certainly sounds like a water pump issue. The thermostate is located inside the water pump housing and if the pump is bad you'l lose fluids and need to add every day or so. The temp guage will run hot and often the heater won't warm up. You have even notice fluids on the ground below the front passenger side of the car. Try getting a pressure test first before replacing anything. That's a good place to start the diagnosis.

My 1996 oldsmobile acheiva is leaking antifreeze but it doesn't seem to be a leak in the radiator. Could my water pump need replacement?

Sounds like the radiator is OK...if you cannot see any visible leaks...if you have inspected upper and lower radiator hoses and connections...it could be the water pump...however you should be able to see some antifreeze around the water pump pulley...changing the water pump on your Oldsmobile is not a major job...you do not have to remove any motor mounts to do this...only if your serpentine belt is worn and needs replacement...your Olds will require the removal of the upper motor mount in order to change the serpentine belt...sounds like you are on the right track...:)

97 chevy 1500 coolant leak

It is the water pump most likely, they have ,what they call a weep hole in the bottom under the pulley,so they will leak out to let you know to change them right away.If it is on the top coming from the intake area,it would be the intake, they are also bad to leak, but look at the pump, under the pulley.

Small coolant leak at front of engine hose area, not always maybe 1 out of 5 times driving to work.

If you can narrow down where the leak is coming from, it will be easier for you to fix, but it is most likely either a minor radiator leak, or your water pump. You can put a can of radiator stop leak in your vehicle, such as bars leak. It wont hurt anything. If the leak continues, and appears to be coming from the engine area, the water pump is failing, but also check around the thermostat housing, near where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine

Car began overheating, so we added antifreeze and water. Then the next day, it all leaked out. Upper hoses appear to be ok. Are there lower hoses?

It should have a lower hose also. Or you could check around the water pump, they have a weep hole on it and they usually leak if the pump is bad.
