How to remove starter from 1991 acura legend
Follow the battery wire (disconnected) to the starter and remove the nut and solenoid wire. There should be two bolts to the bellhousing (a old term for the transmission to engine piece).
The bottom bolt is no problem besides being super tight. The top bolt is facing the other direction. I took the bar off that goes from the fender to center to other fender. U can reach down behind the motor and feel for the bolt thats beside the exhaust. Once u locate it u will need a 14mm and a cheater bar. I used a extension with a socket that hit fight over the ratchet. Once u get it broke loose it turns real easy. Then u need to climb under the car with a flat screwdriver or a pry bad and work it loose. I got it pinned in so it couldnt move then i removed the electrical nut with a 12mm. Now im stuck trying to get it out from under the car because with its shape and length there isnt hardly any way to get it free. Hope this helps someone out.
I got the starter out but u have to take the cv axle off which isnt real easy but it was my first time and with the help of youtube u can find a video on how to remove the axle. I didnt have a socket big enough to remove the (wanna say 30mm) nut that goes on the end of the axle. So went to Autozone and rented the socket and cheater bar needed to get the axle off.
