Hello, I recently replaced the ignition switch assmbly because the old key broke off inside the tumbler housing. Do I have to have the switch recoded? Thanks in advance
Put a battery charger on it. Now turn the key on, the security light should be blinking. Leave the key on for 11 minutes. The security light should go off. Now try to start the car. This should reprogram you security system.
What we have discovered with our Saturn was with the key, you have to push twice before you hear the beep, well if you just push it once you can hear the door locking and do not push it the second time then this never seems to happen again. If you push the lock twice and hear the beep then after a few times it will do the security lock issue! Good luck remembering only one time to lock!

Hi, That did clear the light but when I start the car, it acts as tho its back in security mode again. I cycle the key and it starts flashing again but i wait the 11min and it goes out. it does not come back on unless i cycle the key. Have you ever seen this issue?

Dude U ROCK...I did the relearn and this time the light went out and the car is hapy again. I want to "Thank You" again for taking the time to assist me on this issue. If ever in Orlando, FL give me a haller cause I definetly would buy the cold beer.
