Poor FM radio reception 2010 Prius

We just purchased a 2010 prius with navigation/satellite.
The FM radio is terrible, cannot get many stations without static.
Anyone else have this problem?
Any solution?

I have a 2011 prius with basic AM/FM. The FM radio is terrible, cannot get many stations without static. Toyota replaced radio but still have the same problem. Now they have ordered another replacement radio. Sounds like an ongoing defect in product.

Check the antenna connection where it connects to the stereo it may be loose or not in all the way.

I have a 2010 Prius with navigation /satellite/audio system. When first used in June the radio static was unbearable on all channels then it just stopped. It has now returned in November and is as bad as ever. My previous car was a Ford S Max and I drove the same areas for work and had no problem with reception at all. It therefore seems that the problem is the equipment in the Prius. I intend to go back to the dealers for a solution.

I have the same problem, 2010 with nav. Horrible reception, on am, fm, and even satellite. I played with the antenna connection, and can hear it change a little, but no matter how I connect the antenna, the reception is terrible. I'd like to know if it's a radio issue, or antenna issue.
    Has anyone figured anything out?

I have the same problem. You would have to take the entire dashboard apart.

How do I hook-up satellite radio

Although it's about $50, this is the best FM transmitter I've found so far. I use it primarily with my MP3Player, but the concept is the same for your satellite radio. It should have a 1/8" audio plug.
Simply plug this little adapter in your cigarette lighter, plug the 1/8" cable between your Satellite radio and the adapter, and tune your radio to the station on the adapter (you can choose another station if there is already something playing on its default station).
This works for me. I tried other brands and they all eaither had poor reception or died within a month or so. This one has been working for me for well over a year now GOgroove FlexSMART X2 Wireless In Car Bluetooth FM Transmitter with...

How to link iphone4 via blue tooth to a 2008 prius

It's not possible to obtain stereo Bluetooth for the 2008 Prius. Toyota did not make this possible until the 2010 model with the navigation package. Actually, if your iPhone 4 is jailbroken, there is a complicated way to trick the car into thinking your music is actually a phone call, and it will force play the music over the speakers as such. But the quality is terrible (mono, not stereo). You're much better off sticking to the AUX cable, even though it does get annoying to plug in every time you drive.

Bluetooth in Prius 2007 suddenly won't connect to cell phone(s)

unplug the fuse for the navigation/radio for about 10 minutes then plug it back in. that should reset it. before you do that make sure you know the code to activate the radio and how to enter it (if it requires a code).

if you can't locate the fuse just unhook the battery for that length of time.

please take a moment to rate this solution thanks
