Car wont start at all. Cranks but wont turn over

Was driving and all of a sudden the car shut off and would not start up again. All warning lights on dash consul is on the car cranks but wont start, Brakes and steering dont work properly. Don't know what is going on. Need help ASAP

1. Fuel pump.

2. Alternator.

But you need to go for a scan. But it is a fuel system error thgat has made other things malfunction.

Not sure I follow your story. A 97 Jeep would have a distributor so there is no cam sensor.
Do you know if you are loosing fuel or spark when it fails to start ?

I had the same happen to my 94 Corolla, it cut off while driving. Change out your distributor and adjust idle before tightening down.

Why would turning the steering wheel while cranking engine gets my car to start?
The ignition switch in the column most likely has a break in it. So when you move the steering wheel, it moves the wire so it completes the connection when you turn the key. Have the ignition switch replaced.

Engine cranks - battery and starter ok. Check for fuel flow. I have seen fuel pumps go out like shutting off a light switch. Shut the car off and just 10 minutes later car will not start because fuel pump failed.

cranking over is a good thing

does the 1991 have a crank angle sensor
chase back to coil if no spark at the plugs

if EFI could be fuel pump or fuel delivery at the injectors

check if the efi has a designated fuse in the engine bay cluster

While driving, all warning lights on dash suddenly were lit. When I stopped the car, it wouldn't start again and sounded as though the battery was dead.
Probably the alternator died, then used up all the power in your battery to keep the car running.
Have your alternator tested and maybe replaced. The battery needs tested also.
