Jeep wrangler unlimited 2006 - added plow to the radio circuit. The radio interrupts when I use the plow. I have disconnected the plow wiring at the fuse box, and I still get radio issues - it just goes dead for a few seconds to a minute, and over time, the clock loses a few minutes. It was funny - when I bought the Jeep new, I immediately had the plow installed. They piggybacked in the fuse box on top of the radio fuse. The plow would work during plowing, but the fuse would be blown before the next storm. So they replaced the plow harness, and, I think, they put in a bigger fuse. Maybe the bigger fuse caused radio issues?
I took it to the shop, and they looked for a short.
They didn't find one. But they tested the battery, and it was beat. They told me that plows will do that. I've had it back a month, and have even plowed once. And it's fine so far.I took it to the shop, and they looked for a short.

Sounds like a short in the electrical system. Maybe even just a loose ground wire. On the other hand...It could just as easily be a bad ECM (BRAIN)! Warranty still in tact? I hope so. Diagnostic at a certified Jeep shop... Good Luck!
