Please help, I require the fuse location on Merc e270 CDI - rear number plate lights as well as the 3rd break light on boot lid. I get two errors on my console stating that left and right number plate lights are not working (I have replaced the bulbs)
Also, I can not open the rear boot using my remote control key.
All these problems are as somehow connected as they all stoped working more or less same time. out what could be wrong. I have checked all fuses in the front and also at rear.

look to see if the trunk activation button is stuck down..if you dont use it.. disconnect it if need be..if it becomes an issue or pull the fuse for it..
okay the dealer may be right, the wiring sometimes breaks from opening and closing trunk, the trunk release operates on the same power as door locks, if door locks work its not a fuse, check the wiring harness in the trunk near hinge, this system is a complex one,so if you dont see a broken wire in the harness,(you will have to untape the wiring to see every wire) have a tech check the system.
i own m b 270 class e.i start ,i go for about 100 or 150 mets then my car lose the power.i remove the key & restart ,again the same problem,if some on can help me
hi,pls.check the fuse in lighting switch, check contact on terminal 12 and 13 of lighting switch,or how about the bulb, continuity between switch and plate light connection,if all is ok,your switch not supplying power(defect)ty
I had a similar problem on my e270 cdi and fixed this by earthing the 3rd brake light . This has solved the problem . No more errors like : 3dr brake light and numbret plate light malfunction ...
